Ha-lizard on the XCP-NG 8.2 in 2021. Progress of my deployment 2 weeks 2 days ago #2443

Great. Doing so now...

Just as a side issue... What do I do about this?

Convert local storage to iSCSI-HA storage? <yes or no>

yes
Failed to locate SR for local storage

Error converting local SR to usable block device
Enter full path to backing block device to be
used for HA storage and press <Enter> (ex. /dev/sdb)

Edit:
Working fine on 2.1.9 as long as SR is selected at XCP-ng install time

Edit:
Ignore me... User error :)

iSCSI gfs2 error via XCP-ng GUI
See attached.
XCP-ng 7.6.0 (LVMoiSCSI Unsupported)

Must use command line to provision LVMoiSCSI iSCSI SR

1. Find target IQN...
# xe sr-probe type=lvmoiscsi device-config:target=10.10.10.3
<iscsi-target-iqns>
        <TGT>
                <Index>0</Index>
                <IPAddress>10.10.10.3</IPAddress>
                <TargetIQN>iqn.2015.com.halizard:noSAN</TargetIQN>
        </TGT>
        <TGT>
                <Index>1</Index>
                <IPAddress>10.10.10.3</IPAddress>
                <TargetIQN>*</TargetIQN>
        </TGT>
</iscsi-target-iqns>

2. Find SCSIid:
# xe sr-probe type=lvmoiscsi device-config:target=10.10.10.3 device-config:targetIQN=iqn.2015.com.halizard:noSAN
<iscsi-target>
        <LUN>
                <vendor>IET</vendor>
                <serial>beaf110</serial>
                <LUNid>10</LUNid>
                <size>536817664</size>
                <SCSIid>360000000000000000e0000000001000a</SCSIid>
        </LUN>
</iscsi-target>

3. Create SR:
# xe sr-create name-label="Lun10" type=lvmoiscsi shared=true content-type=user device-config:target=10.10.10.3 device-config:port=3260 device-config:targetIQN=iqn.2015.com.halizard:noSAN device-config:SCSIid=360000000000000000e0000000001000a

I also found this error but it worked well when I created the SR on xsconsole, (or directly on the server screen)

Was that using Xen Orchestra or XCP-ne Center?

The RPMs (and all source code since the initial release) are all available here:

halizard.org/release

This is not a yum repo at this time, so yum update, etc, will not work. Ideally, these RPMs would be added to the XCP-ng repo and distribution so to make this process even easier. If anyone is interested in trying to make that happen, the entire community would benefit.
