is there any docs on upgrading xen 7.3 to xen 8 and keeping HA-lizard config available?

Before following these steps, make sure to first upgrade both hosts to the latest version of iscsi-ha which supports backup/restore of all critical data. The latest RPM can be found here.
halizard.org/release/iscsi-ha/iscsi-ha-2.2.4-1.rpm

Download and install with "rpm -Uvh iscsi-ha-2.2.4-1.rpm"

on the server i want to upgrade when i cfeck which iscsi-ha is currnently installed with command
rpm -qa |grep iscsi-ha

it does return any info

iscsi-cfg -v shows version below. as i ok to go ahead and install the rpm
IHA_2.1.5

That's likely because it was originally installed with the non-rpm installer.

You can install the RPM on top of your existing config to make it behave like an RPM.
